A museum accessible to everyone and mindful of every need

From the very beginning of redesigning the former Ariston Cinema, our goal was to make the HZERO museum accessible to everyone, offering a comfortable and inclusive visitor experience. Our staff is always available to provide information and assistance.

Useful information

Here you will find all the information regarding accessibility. For specific requests or special needs, you can speak directly with the museum staff at the ticket office or contact the museum in advance at info@hzero.com.

FREE ADMISSION AND RESERVATION

Visitors with disabilities and their companions are granted free admission without the need for a reservation. Reservations are only required for groups of eight or more.

Visitors with disabilities or specific health needs are given priority access to the ticket office and museum entry.

The museum entrance features a retractable access ramp for visitors with disabilities, located to the left of the main entrance. After visiting the model railway, visitors can take an elevator located at the back of the model railway room to access the second floor. This floor offers an additional perspective on the model as well as access to the gaming station and green screen area.

The exhibition concludes with the cinema room, where a documentary about the history of the model railway is shown. This space is accessible via a stairlift. Restrooms for individuals with limited mobility are located next to the model railway room.

The museum is fully accessible, with the exception of the mezzanine level, which provides a panoramic view of the model railway.

At the ticket office, visitors can rent an electric wheelchair with a seat that raises by 30 centimeters, allowing them to view all the details of the model railway at the appropriate height. No reservation or deposit is required and the service is free of charge. A valid ID must be presented and will be held by museum staff for the duration of the visit.

Guide dogs for the visually impaired, equipped with the appropriate harness and kept on a leash, are allowed to enter without prior permission or notification before the visit.

Owners of dogs currently in training to become guide dogs for the visually impaired may bring their dog into the museum by presenting proof of training at the ticket office.

The entry of dogs or other animals for pet therapy or assistance is subject to the presentation of certification issued by public healthcare facilities, confirming the necessity of their presence and their suitability for such service. We kindly request that visitors notify us in advance about the presence of assistance dogs by emailing info@hzero.com and present the relevant certification. A leash is required at all times.

The use of electric scooters is restricted and assessed on a case-by-case basis to ensure the safety of the museum environment. Staff may ask visitors to transfer to a wheelchair provided by the museum free of charge.
