Model Railroading Courses for Adults: The Educational Offer of the HZERO Museum
AN OPPORTUNITY FOR EXCHANGE AND SHARING FOR ALL MODEL RAILROADING ENTHUSIASTS
The HZERO museum offers model-making courses for adults, aiming to share its expertise and create a space for exchange and collaboration for those passionate about model railroading.
There are two options available: a one-day short course and another consisting of three Sunday sessions. Both are designed to guide participants in creating a small diorama. We will cover the essential modeling techniques, analyze photographs of existing models, introduce basic electrical engineering, and provide hands-on support as participants develop their individual projects, following each step of the process.
OneDay Lab - Christmas Edition
One Day Lab is a short, one-day course offered by HZERO for all model railroading and scale landscaping enthusiasts. Throughout the day, participants will learn how to create a small diorama with the guidance of expert modelers. For the Christmas Edition, we will add festive details to the landscape!
All materials for the workshop will be provided by the museum, and the diorama created during the day will remain the exclusive property of the participants.

Location and Class Schedule
The course will be held on December 22, 2024, at the museum location in Piazza degli Ottaviani, 2/R in Florence. The schedule for the day will be: 10:00 – 13:00 and 14:30 – 17:30.
Prices and Discountsi
The course costs 100 euros (with a 20% discount for those who complete the registration by 06/12/2024). The materials required for the course will be provided by the museum.

Modelers in Motion - Intermediate Model Making Course
This training course, dedicated to the study and application of model-making techniques, aims to teach participants how to create a small diorama. Starting with the selection of materials, “modelers in motion” will learn the basic techniques for constructing the model. Throughout the sessions, HZERO’s modelers will review the projects, offering suggestions for improvements and advanced techniques. The materials for the workshops will be provided by the museum, and the diorama created during the lessons will remain the exclusive property of the participants.
