Model-making courses for kids: educational programs offered by the HZERO museum

TRANSMITTING THE PASSION FOR RAILWAY MODELING

As part of its educational offering, the HZERO museum has developed a model-making course designed for children aged 11 to 17. Accompanied by an adult, they will test their skills by creating a small diorama, guided step-by-step by HZERO’s expert modelers.

It will be a fun experience, exploring various techniques to create a miniature landscape—laying the track and rails, building trees, and painting the grass to add flowers—helping them bring a world they’ve imagined to life!

Modelers on the go – Model making course for kids

‘Modellisti in partenza’ is the new workshop offered by the HZERO museum for kids aged 11 to 17, as part of the museum’s educational offerings for fall 2024. Guided by the museum’s specialized staff, participants, accompanied by at least one adult, will challenge themselves to create a small diorama. How will we help them? By starting with the study of key modeling techniques, analyzing photographs of existing models, and then moving on to develop and build their own individual project. It will be a fun experience—laying the ballast and tracks, creating the miniature landscape, painting the grass, and making flowers—all while bringing to life a small world they’ve imagined!
