SCHOOL WORKSHOPS
In evidenza
Not just workshops for families, but also initiatives for schools
The HZERO museum, with its engaging and multidisciplinary approach, speaks to visitors of all ages while offering abundant educational opportunities. This inspired the creation of an educational program featuring two school workshops as part of the ‘Le chiavi della città’ project by the Municipality of Florence. The goal is to establish the museum as a part of the community, beginning with its youngest visitors, who naturally connect with its content.

Workshop ‘On a journey’
AVAILABLE FOR PRESCHOOL, PRIMARY, AND LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOL.
Led by a museum educator, the program features multiple observation stops at the large model railway and uses engagement methods tailored to each school level. It concludes with a workshop on the theme of travel, encouraging creative expression while fostering self-exploration and personal reflection.
The program lasts 1.5 hours for preschool and 2 hours for primary and lower secondary schools.
Workshop ‘Train: the future today’
AVAILABLE FOR PRIMARY AND LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOL
The program explores various themes by starting with an observation of the miniature model railway. It examines the train as a symbol of modernity, highlighting its low ecological impact, its role in fostering the exchange of goods, and its contribution to increased mobility. This serves as a gateway to discussing environmental sustainability and its relevance to contemporary issues.
The session includes an interactive guided tour and a hands-on workshop. Within the museum, participants engage in a multisensory exploration of the model railway environment, alternating between group observation and discussion, as well as individual or small-group reflections.
The workshop involves creating graphic works, gathering words and phrases about trains, and culminating in a storytelling exercise.
The program lasts 2 hours.
